pitch: monthly box of small-batch hot sauces, one region per month
Works from any phone that can text
Text it.
Find it later.
Jotline gives every stray thought somewhere to land. Text a note to one number and it shows up in a private feed you can search, filed into tags for you by AI.
No app to install. Link your number once, then just text.
How it works
Three steps, and you only do the first one once.
Text it
Link your number in a few seconds. From then on, every text you send to Jotline becomes a note: ideas, reminders, links, half-finished thoughts.
It files itself
Any #hashtag you type becomes a tag. Keyword rules and Claude Haiku tag the rest, so your feed stays organized without you organizing it.
Find it fast
Search every word you've saved, filter by tag or date, or scroll back months. Can't remember the words? Ask in plain English.
Ask your notes
Start a text with a question mark.
Text ? when is the dentist and the answer comes back by text, pulled from what you've saved. The same Ask works in the web app, with links back to the notes it used.
Self-hosted
Your server. Your number. Your notes.
- Runs on your own box. One small container and a SQLite file you can back up like any other file.
- Texts go through your own gateway. TacLine SMS sends and receives from a phone you control.
- Leave whenever you like. Export everything as JSON or Markdown in one click.
- Private by default. Each person sees only their own feed, matched to the numbers they linked.
